Management training and ongoing personal growth are rated very highly in RU internal management surveys. The goal of the Management Training Program is to provide new managers with a clear understanding of the expectations regarding position results, and to equip them with the knowledge to deliver results utilizing Performance Standards, Leadership, and Management technique.
Technical Training and Personal Skills Development
Technical training, as well as personal skills development, is an ongoing process that continues long after managers are placed in their management positions. At RU, the company has selectively focused the training program on the critical knowledge and tools required. Preparing managers to obtain results through their crewmembers is a major objective of the RU Training Program.
Comprehensive Training
The RU program is self-driven, self-motivating and adaptable to each new manager's style and needs. The program features extensive management, operations, and human resource material as well as leadership and skills assessments that allow managers to measure their own development. From the beginning, managers are encouraged to take an assertive approach toward the ownership of their position plan.
The RU Training Program is divided into separate phases to deliver the right information at exactly the right time. During Phase One, managers receive a basic orientation to the company culture, values, systems and tools. Phase Two provides a complete understanding of restaurant operations. Upon completion of Phase Two, managers own their positions and enjoy a variety of growth opportunities.
